1. Introduction

In accordance with applicable data privacy laws and regulations, we, the “Association des Anciens du Collège Louise Wegmann” (“AACLW”, and any reference to “us”, “we”, “our” or other similar expressions is a reference to AACLW), hereby inform you about the personal data collected and processed from users of the AACLW VeryConnect online alumni platform platform (“Platform”).

This Privacy Policy is to be construed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the domain www.aaclw.org (the domain www.aaclw.org and the Platform referred to together as “Website”).

The Privacy Policy can be printed for reference by using the print command in the settings of any browser.

2. Owner of your data

3. Purposes of data collection and processing – who has access to your data

Your data will be collected and processed for the purposes of managing your membership of the Platform.

Each alumni member of the Collège Louise Wegmann (“Member(s)”) is assigned a profile on the Platform (“Profile”). The Platform serves as a CLW-exclusive online communication and networking platform and alumni directory.

Through the Platform, each Member may find other Members along with their respective information (data collected is shown in Section ‎4). Members can connect, communicate, find and post news of interest to the alumni community, get news about the AACLW and participate in alumni events.

The Platform also serves as a tool for the AACLW to communicate with Members and to collect, process and use the data available to it in connection with its activities.

4. What data we will process

4.1 In general terms, we will process all data shown in your Profile along with all data you provide to the AACLW and/or the Collège Louise Wegmann from time to time whether through the Platform or otherwise. This includes:

4.1.1 contact information (phone, email, social media profiles);
4.1.2 first and family name, place of residence, current location, previous and current work (industries, profession etc.), attended universities, earned diplomas, CLW prom year, age, family status and information on family members.

5. Legal basis of processing

Your data will be processed on the basis of your consent, expressed by becoming a “Registered User” (as defined in the terms and conditions – please refer to section 3.1 thereof), or otherwise in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.

6. For what period of time will we process your data?

Your data will be stored and processed for as long as you have a Profile.

7. Will we share your data with third parties?

The data you provide to the Platform will be accessible to the AACLW and all Registered Users. Your data may also be passed on to third parties if it were necessary to carry out an activity or event in which you may decide to participate.

8. Do we conduct international data transfers?

Your data will not be transferred to companies or organizations outside Lebanon unless they provide sufficient guarantees regarding personal data processing.

9. What are your rights regarding your personal data processing?

9.1 Subject always to applicable laws, rules and regulations, you may ask for further information and exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition to the processing or any other legal right by writing to the AACLW by email to the following address anciens@aaclw.org. If you consider that your request has not been met, you can make a complaint to any member of the AACLW board.
In particular, Members have the right to do the following:
9.1.1 Withdraw their consent at any time. Users have the right to withdraw consent where they have previously given their consent to the processing of their data.
9.1.2 Object to processing of their data. Users have the right to object to the processing of their data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than consent.
9.1.3 Access their data. Users have the right to learn if data is being processed by the AACLW, obtain disclosure regarding certain aspects of the processing and obtain a copy of the data undergoing processing.
9.1.4 Verify and seek rectification. Users have the right to verify the accuracy of their data and ask for it to be updated or corrected.
9.1.5 Restrict the processing of their data. Users have the right, under certain circumstances, to restrict the processing of their Data. In this case, we will not process their Data for any purpose other than storing it.
9.1.6 Have their data deleted or otherwise removed. Users have the right, under certain circumstances, to obtain the erasure of their data from the AACLW.
9.1.7 Receive their data and have it transferred to another controller. Users have the right to receive their data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and, if technically feasible, to have it transmitted to another controller without any hindrance.
9.1.8 Lodge a complaint. Users have the right to bring a claim before their competent data protection authority.

10. Changes to this privacy policy

AACLW reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying its users on the Website and/or - as far as technically and legally feasible - sending a notice to Members via any contact information available to the AACLW. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom.
